  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grapeseed oil (or neutral oil)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or plant-based alternative)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Drain and dry the chickpeas. Mash them in a bowl until coarse yet textured.
  2. Add cumin, black pepper, salt, green onions, garlic, flour, and egg. Mix until combined.
  3. Heat grapeseed oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Shape the mixture into small patties and fry in batches for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. For the yogurt sauce, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, garlic, and salt in a bowl; chill while cooking the patties.
  6. Serve warm with yogurt sauce.
