  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white apple vinegar or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and drained
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until the butter melts.
  2. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in 1/4 cup of dry white apple vinegar or chicken broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of rinsed capers, and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest. Season with salt and black pepper to taste; cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in optional chopped parsley before serving warm.
