  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat sauce: Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cook until softened. Stir in marinara sauce, turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the béchamel: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and gradually add milk until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble the lasagna: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer meat sauce, noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar in a baking dish until ingredients are used up. Top with remaining cheese.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil; bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil; bake uncovered for another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let rest before slicing.
