  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  2. Mix in marinara sauce, crumbled turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. For the béchamel, melt butter in a saucepan and whisk in flour for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add milk while stirring until thickened. Incorporate Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season to taste.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer meat sauce, cooked lasagna noodles, béchamel sauce, mozzarella, and cheddar in a baking dish until all ingredients are used.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
