  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the egg and mix gently until combined; avoid overmixing.
  3. Shape the mixture into uniform meatballs (about 20).
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook meatballs in batches until golden brown (4-5 minutes per side).
  5. For the tzatziki sauce, mix Greek yogurt with grated cucumber (drained), minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt, and pepper.
  6. Chill tzatziki before serving alongside meatballs.
