  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Extra flour for dusting

  2. Add flour, salt, herbs, mozzarella, and Parmesan to the yeast mixture. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl; cover with a towel and let rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough; shape into a loaf or round and place in a greased pan. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) while the dough rises.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
